ha! you crack me up, alyssa--
thanks for reading my vague-ass story, and sending me your thoughts. you're right, it is all implied, nothing said outright. i don't blame you at all for being frustrated with it. it's definitely a departure for me...one i may not try again soon. rock on, sister!
I'm glad you liked Dead Lovin'! Yes, there will be more to come, I promise!
*gurgle*
thanks for the congrats, dahling!
lol it's good to be back. And you're very welcome, I couldn't have chosen a better author to critque. By the way, I heard you got published. SOOOOOOOOOOO jealous, but I still love you! ::hugs:: Congrats and kisses: mwah and mwah!
hey, miss alyssa!
thanks for your critique of my bear story! how cool, that you picked it out.
*singsong* so glad she's baaaack...
ha! i'm glad i helped.
oh, call me anything. just slap a cape on me & i'm set. *chortle*
let me know when you write another story, eh? i really liked your .44 story. great stuff!
uhhh....*blushes*....golly. thanks!
i guess my usual attack is to pick a scene, not even a complete story, and just write it out as i want to. throw it all in there. most of the time a story forms out of it. then, i'll go back and edit out whatever doesn't directly affect something vital to the telling--i get ruthless.
don't know if that makes sense or is helpful at all...i've not really thought too much before about how i figure these things out.
i can attest to the buttkicking deadline of the flash fiction group.
did you know we started another fridays group? it's a core group of many of the original members, but more focused on regular writing and critiquing. check it out! 'furious flash fiction fridays'.
love that painting--thanks for the info! envious as hell, he could pick up brushes and just go like that. more power to him.
i've been doing the usual--plodding away at the novel (thppt), writing the short stories.
you should make time, alyssa! you're a good writer. give us some of your free time--i miss you being around!
hi, alyssa--
i noticed your fabulous profile painting....man, i can't place that artist! who is it?
(what've you been up to, lately?)

Favorite Quotes: Youth is a wonderful thing. What a crime to waste it on children. -George Bernard Shaw

But my very feelings changed to repulsion and terror when I saw the whole man slowly emerge from the window and begin to crawl down the castle wall over that dreadful abyss, face down, with his cloak spreading out around him like great wings. –Bram Stoker, Dracula

Loves: Hot beverages paired with cold weather, cold Italian food, dinner food, pastries and desserts for breakfast, breakfast food for dinner, animals, good books, rainy days, artists and their artwork.
