Hey Charlotte, looking good with that published piece!
chaaaarrrrr!!!!
you're here!! i thought you'd up & left us--you're working on the novel, aren't you? yes, i thought so. how's progress??
thanks for taking a peep at my story--i do hope you enjoy it.
Charlotte,
Come back, we miss you. I've made some changes to the FFF that you might enjoy. Check out my recent forum post for more details.

-Ben
hey, char--
i just finished reading chapters 4-8 of 'time to pretend', and i'm dying!! i must know what happens next!! i abandoned everything else i was doing (which i never do) and read straight through, riveted--i love matt and david, (and gavin's pretty darned cool, too), am intrigued by the growing serial killer mystery aspects, and hope to GOD you're working on the next chapter right now. you are, right?
(and by the by: i used to live in houston--i grew up in clear lake city, and worked in the river oaks neighborhood for about a year. )
I'm glad you liked the poem! and if you like morbid, have I got a vast collection you might like ;D. Cannibal Candy Shop is in my collection on scribophile if you haven't read it yet...that's pretty morbid. I wish I could post them all, but scribophile won't let me post anymore :-\. At any rate, I appreciate the critique and it's good to know people like my poems! cheers!
have you finished reading snuff? i haven't even started it yet!
hey charlotte, thanks a lot for the critique! i've been working on my revision on the prologue for a few days now and i continue to. i can't wait to read the new chuck book! i'm reading 1984 right now and as soon as i'm done, i'm reading snuff!
hey, char--
the smiley face killings made mainstream news:

Palahniuk's Snuff comes out tuesday!
Oh lucky 13. I had Alex Cabal take care of it so now you won't see a confusing critique. But it turns out I read Chapter 1 already! I'm looking forward to the next chapters.
So Charlotte, I had Time to Pretend open in a different tab and I started doing a critique for Riah Rain. Well, when I submitted the critique, it posted to your story and not hers. I apologize and have no idea how that happened. I'll make it up to you.
Oh and one more thing. Should I start from the beginning for Time to Pretend or do you want feedback on separate chapters?
I was thinking the same thing about Survivor and the FLDS controversy. I just read survivor a couple months ago, so it's fresh in my mind. And FYI: I have a revised version up. You don't have to read it, as it is somewhat lenghty. (I cut 200 words off though.)
I was going over your critique of my prologue (I'm revising it now) and I see you want to read Survivor. I would recommend it. It's not Chuck's best, but it's still fun. He gets a little wordy in this one I think, but you'll enjoy it. Also, if I post a revision would you be willing to take a look at it? I'm removing a lot of the preachy stuff and focusing on story/character development. Thanks a lot!
Congrats on your win. You truly deserved it. Great writing!
ha!! okay, i forgive you.
i too am approaching the level of 'shambolic' with my sonnet...perhaps even as low as 'rammalammadingdong'. *sigh*
thanks for the sugar rush--i need it!
O, sugar,
font of succulent sighs,
goin' straight to my thighs,
i suckle your sweetness
grinning and toothless,
and thank god for chocolate cream pies.
(yyyyeah...i'm just that bad.)

Well , don't feel so down and angry, friend. That's how we all feel sometimes. If you get happy enough, read my works then. How does that sound? I know, I feel the same as you. I had a bad morning once and then I acted like a jerk to everyone - so I've had bad days.
Do you wanna read my stories sometime? Then enjoy!
Hello, Charlotte. I was just wondering on why you keep leaving my circles. You can come to For Those Who Want To Make a Good Novel circle. If you like writing Romance then you can come to the Romance Writers Saturdays! You can probably liven up the circle with your stories
Congrats on winning first Charlotte!
woohoo!!! BIG congratulations, char!! (i hate you so much. )
gripping story, written with power and grace--your entry deserved the win. go shopping!!
Aww! I'm really pleased that it made you feel better. Thank you for the gift, you're so sweet! I can't wait to read more of your story. Thank you again!

i'm looking forward to reading the next chapter.
Hello Charlotte,

nope, no prompts--just write in whatever genre, in whatever style, using whatever idea you like. go nuts!
i just noticed you're reading george r r martin right now--i read a short story of his from decades ago called 'the sandkings'. freaked me the hell out!! i'm sure you'd enjoy it.
how's his longer stuff?
hey, woman!
thanks for another insightful critique! (and i'm not just saying that because you liked the story. ) i love that you got what i was aiming for, with the ambiguity--i, of course, know what happened during events outlined in the plot, but i tried to leave clues and implications without spelling it out. dangerous, i know.
thanks for reading my stuff, and for sending me your thoughts! muchas gracias.
Thanks for the critique of my prologue! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I might be posting more of it, but the rest of the book needs extensive editing. I finished it back in March and I'm just getting feedback on it. Thanks again!
love the photo, dahling.
