You're very welcome! I thought it was wonderfully emotional ^-^ and the reason I can connect...well just read a few of m poems and it will be clear why. Anyway, you're welcome ^-^!
Aw that sucks!!! Hopefully they will soon! You have a GREAT imagination!
Glad it fell on thick skin! Thanks for your good humor, a lesser man would've probably been sore about it. Keep on keeping on!
Hey think nothing of it, I like reading peoples works almost as much as I enjoy writing it. Yours is just a bit more fun to read than others and I know that I wont be worded to death.
Well the thought did cross my mind, that you were a cannibal, but I thought "to each their own" haha I got my poems published through poetry.com. It's a poetry contest, that accepts submissions all year.It only pays if you win & even then they nominate you and you go fly to read your poem in front of tons of people. They hounded me, to read my last poem, but I suffer from stage fright. (the poem is on here) It got first page in the book!
Yeah you were the first one to understand it's deeper meaning! I'm sorry you had to go through the same thing. It's not easy to watch someone you love get sucked into the world of drugs. I am never surprised by what happens to her, I'm waiting to hear that she has AIDS or is dead. It's horrible...especially because I can't do anything to help her.
Man you got to love being grown up, life was easier when i was 9.
Once again thanks for reading.
no problem it was fun reading your poem
Hey,

Thanks for the feedback...I'm glad you liked the structure of the piece. Best, --EMF
Thank you once again for your critique. Yeah that was originally a short pros piece, but I thought it worked better as a poem. The real meaning behind it was very close to what you said. My best friend got mixed up with drugs, and has managed to push away her entire family away. She wont admit she needs help and the person she once was is no longer there. It breaks my heart. I wrote it for her, and I'm sure she never read it.
Thanks again for all your encouragement !
Thank you for your critique. I really appreciate your kind words. I do write differently than other people, i love to do it, but its not all I do. It is a hobby, but I need to remember that doesn't make me less of a writer. Your comments and critiques really do help/ make me smile. Thanks

About Me

Occupation: I am currently a student at Champlain College in Burlington, VT and majoring in Art & Animation to become a 3D Film Animator. While home for the school breaks, I work at Chuck E. Cheese's.
About Me: I'm a 21-year-old college student with barely a penny to my name, a wonderful family, an even more wonderful girlfriend, and a high sense of optimism. I currently live in Rochester, NH, but I hope to live in either Canada or California within the next few years.

My girlfriend and I are completely solid and can't wait until we are financially ready to get married, and that makes me the happiest man in the world!

My life consists of school, work, family, and my girlfriend
Interests: I have a vast imagination, so I am heavily interested in fantasy in all of its form and splendor. I can see art in just about anything whether it be in writing or in picture. My number one passion is Poetry, which I believe is my strong suit, but I have been known to write a story on occasion, though I've never finished one. My sense of grammar is horrible, and so I tend to stay away from forms of literature which require me to be proficient in grammar (i.e. writing novels)
Publications: I have nothing published, but everyone tells me I should get to publishing my works, so that is what I am here for: to see how far I can get with publishing my poems. Any advice that anyone may have for me I would be eternally grateful for. I just want to spread my passion for poetry and send out my compilations of words to all that I can reach.
Favorite Books: I am a fan of the Harry Potter collection as it is the only set of books that I have finished so quickly and so thoroughly. I also liked the Dragonlance Chronicles, but I never finished any of the books. I'm not a big reader.
Favorite Movies: This is a long list, but I'll just name the most favorite so I don't get carried away: Moulin Rouge.
Favorite TV Shows: I don't watch TV, but if I were to peg a few, I'd have to say: Family Guy, Futurama, ATHF, FMA, and pretty much anything on Comedy Central
Favorite Quotes: "You can either learn less and less about more and more until you know nothing about everything, or you can learn more and more about less and less until you know everything about nothing"

"If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, then baffle them with bullshit"

"True Poetry has no great interest in improving or idealizing the world, which does well enough. It only wants to realize the world, to see it better"
Loves: Above all other things, I love poetry. My poetry is fueled by my vast imagination and my love for my girlfriend, Carley. I believe love to be one of the biggest inspirations I could have, and I owe it to her for that.

I am also obsessed with the German band Rammstein

Beyond that, I love art in every way and I hope to develop my ability to create art (in all ways) so as to expand my artistic horizons.
Hates: Arrogant people, stupid people, the president, and (my own created category of people) wow-makers and sympathy hunters. Allow me to define them for you here.

wow-maker: the people that always have a story that tops anything you could say. Their name comes from the fact that once you hear them rant, the only response you can safely give is: "...wow"

sympathy hunters: people that over-exaggerate to get attention. If you cut your finger, they lost a limb, and so on.
