hi, erin--
thanks for your feedback on my poem! i can always use advice with poetry (and let's face it, everything i write
), so i appreciate your insights.
i'm glad you liked it overall, and i'll definitely take a look at the acronym situation--wasn't aware of any negeative connotations, so will have to find another phrase. thanks for the heads up.

Erin,
Thank you so much for your critique of The Writing Life. You are right on in so many ways and I appreciate your honesty and forthrightness. Selfishly, I hope you get around to critiquing Brother, Can You Spare the Time?, which I see you've added to your reading list. Do not be afraid of being too "mean" I'm here for help and the more you can give the better.
Incidentally, I studied creative writing under Ron Carlson. I'm somewhat surprised you have a quote from him, since he is not exactly a big name.
Anyway, thanks again.
-Ben

Thanks so much for writing that critique. I do have a bad habit of throwing commas haphazardly through my writing for the sole purpose of creating pauses where I think they should be... I'll return the favor sometime soon.
Thanks! You hit the nail spot on the head in that critique, I think. And you're right, 6 weeks is an extra month. Whoops! Math was never my strong subject...
I definitely will. I'm just swamped in student essays right now, but I'm looking forward to the read.
Thanks you very much for your critique, Erin. I appreciate your comments and agree with your suggestions. I'll try to return the favor when I can. Have a great day.
