Thanks for the critique of Gyre. The corkscrew was my take on a steel observation tower on a mountain overlooking Zurich. I had some trouble deciding what was challenging enought to the reader and cutting the esoterica. I did cut a lot from the section you said needed more. I think I agree on that point, but what was excised needed to go. Thanks again.
My pleasure, I look foreward to enjoying more of your work.
Thanks for the fan-dom. Sewanee -- is that the school close to Monteagle? I went to a small school in the same conference.
Thanks for the critique. I think you helped me get started on some of the things that were bothersome that I couldn't place. Sometimes you spit something up on paper, stare at it for a while and wonder 'now what do i do with it?' Thanks for the help.
Thanks for the critique of "Smoldering." I especially appreciate the comment on the use of "pillows." I think it is a very good point.
Hi there! The pay for online adjunct teaching isn't great (teaching never pays good though, right?). But if you're willing to take on a lot of sections, you can potentially make a good living off it. The only problem is that because you're adjunct, you never know if you'll get sections consistently each term. Each college usually will give 2 sections per term to start and as you build rapport with them, they'll give up to 4 sections. Online education is definitely on the rise though!
That sound! On the wind. The FFF is calling. Will you answer?
Thank you so much for the helpful critique. It's part of a three-part POV of short story exercises I set myself, the angel Gabriel, his child and his wife.
Just make sure nobody offers you Hemlock.
No worries! The corruption of children is far more important.

This summer I'm doing a workshop in creative nonfiction and writiI have done several workshops in different genres, and find workshopping helpful. I have to decide what genre I want to settle on by next year, so I can start on my thesis. Finding time to write is tough while teaching five college classes, but I do what I can.
