Oh man. I am such an idiot! Not only did I not see the constraint, a constraint that I have been forced to use before, but I didn't even get the metaphor!!
Dumb dumb dumb.
I've failed you Meghan. I've failed you

You should look into pro, it really isn't that expensive. I think if you opt for the year membership, it comes down to less than 10/month.
Ms. McCrae, I have recently published a poem entitled 'Polished'. If you find it worthy of comment, please do so. ^_^
This is assuming you've already given it a passing glance, and find it too mediocre to give it any allotment of your intellectual energy. If this is the case, you wound me most deeply, but pay no heed; my heart will heal in time.

meghan, you're still doing scribophile! this makes me joyful!
I'm here for language study. I'm in Japanese class 12 hours a week, so basically a full load. But more than that, I'm doing it as sort of a "Journy of Self-Discovery" type of thing. Get my head around another way of thinking, reveal how my way of thinking is stifled and flawed, or in other ways strong.
Soon enough I'll post again. Just got to write enough critiques to get the bloody five karma points.

Did you forget, or did I actually manage not to tell you that I'm spending this school year in Japan?
hi, k--

Of all the people at Austin College, you remain the busiest here.
Thank you for looking at Karma Repairman. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm glad the female part felt true as the more I read about it the more I feel like I might have made her too much of a stereotype, tight dress and running mascara. If I revise I'm going to try to move to more of a reality for her.

Welcome to FFFF! Good luck
Try subscribing to the circle? I think that should do the trick.
so, here's to me for thrice writing on my own scratchpad. the message goes: ) : you didn't like the sound and the fury? it completely blew me away.
meghan! maybe i've already asked you this, but have you read any faulkner?
That review was super-helpful! I think I was mostly waiting around for someone to tell me what I am trying to do in the story and why it isn't working...and you sort of did that. Or at least you did something similar enough to that that I have an idea of where I need to start the revising.
Apparently I am very emphatic about this review? I've been reading a lot of dinosaur comics, which always put me in an emphatic mood!

Absolutely, it was a joy to read. I'm looking forward to more of your hand-crafted goodness.

hi, meghan--
ha! i'm digging this june challenge so far; how's it going for you? i'm off in a moment to read everyone's shorties.
thanks for your very encouraging comments! i think this month will exercise my ability to find new ways to start stories, and also just plain thinking up new-ish plots!
anyway, looking forward to seeing what you've cooked up.

HA you quoted KV on your profile you might just be my new favorite person on here. It's late, but i'm going to get to your work eventually. Just wanted to say hi
Haha, yeah, because I say it roughly 50 billion times in one sentence.
I'm still in Sherman! I'm glad all this writing stuff is starting to happen, as it's given me something to do with myself while I wait for my car to be not dead.
hey, meghan--
thanks! i really like your advice.
since i already know i like wendell berry and mary oliver, i'm gonna start reading one poem of theirs aloud every night before bed.

Oh jeez! I am so full of adverbs that it is shameful.
Also, thanks! And how's it going?

hey don't worry about breaking it up. just post it all on the last chapter of the piece, and i'll sort through, it's fine.
hi, k--
i just read a critique you wrote for another writer's poem, and was impressed by your knowledge of poetry mechanics--i wonder if you'd have a suggested title list for someone (me) looking to become familiar with the various types and strengths of poetic expression?
any and all are appreciated--thanks!

I liked your story about the sandcastle. It is funny to see that, as I have a post called the castle in my miind, which is about a particular sandcastle, but yours was better written than mine. Keep writing, I'll keep reading..
