well, now we're even!
i'm smiling like a goofball.
i felt weird here for a little while, until i got used to the site layout and met a few people, so hang in there--you'll find your niche.
hi, lauren--
welcome! i read your comment in the '80 words' forum thread, and like the cut of your jib, missy.
i look forward to reading your work--post something, wouldja?
cheers! have a great day.
Hello, Miss Barton! I wanted to thank you for your critique, particularly about the hospital scene. This isn't exactly a polished work, heh heh. Up until a month ago, it didn't even make sense. I did want to ask, though, did you read chapter 1? That's where a lot of the set up is, and yes, this story IS set in our world, but it also takes place four years from now. As for dialogue and attitude... These characters ARE based on people I know (including me) and conversations we've had (or would have if some of us had the guts). We're in the 18-20 range, and as childish as it seems... We do act like that. Which, it actually makes me laugh that you compared it to your elementary class XDD. Thanks again for your critique, though. It helps a lot.
Hello, Lauren! Welcome to Scribophile. Your PM and critique made me smile - thank you for commenting on "Philomel", I sort of thought that no one would. Anything you have to say about a piece is welcomed by any author on this site; that's what we're all here for! A critique or a comment will brighten anyone's day around here, so don't be nervous about leaving them. I know that your comment will make me happy all day. Thank you again!
