Aha, Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, living in America I can hardly find anyone who appreciates Pratchett.. it is a sad thing
Waiting for a reply from a publisher is harder than trying to pass a gall stone. I go through phases whereby i send things in to contests and wait and by the time i get a card that i was rejected, i forget that i had even sent in anything.

Hi Megan, welcome!
Dig your favourite books. Lamb, especially, was absolutely hilarious. Also a big fan of Pratchett and Fforde. Looking forward to your first post.
Also, I like your mask.

Hello Megan,
Welcome to Scribophile! Looking forward to your first blogpost. Pastwatch, huh? I've never met anyone who has even read that nevermind declaring it a favorite. Love the comic stuff, too (Fables and Gaiman, et al). Anyway, good luck.

If you haven't already, you might want to try some of Tom Holt's books, especially Expecting Someone Taller or Flying Dutch. Very English, very funny; similar vein as Pratchett.
I don't know about automatic awesomeness, but I do love me some Farscape. I just wish the DVDs were a little more affordable; I could get almost 3 seasons of Babylon 5 for what they wanted for season 1 of Farscape last time I checked. Ah, well. Like your taste in books: I, too, enjoy Fforde, Pratchett and Gaiman. Have you read A Dirty Job by C. Moore? Very funny stuff; maybe not as funny as Lamb, but what is?
