Hi, Nina -- thanks for the comment. We are talking about 1951 in a fundamental Christian area or rural PA. Discussions were more likely to be about Biblical figures than sex!

About Me

Occupation: I'm a writer/author and also a greeter in retail at Cracker Barrel. My book, In and Out of Madness, is being considered by a publisher right now. Wish me luck!
About Me: I used to be a successful artist, tuned paper mill worker breaking the sex barrier in the early 80s. I returned to school and got my master's degree in elementary education. I taught for years, then return to the world of art. In 2003, my 20 year marriage fell apart and I decided to become a writer. I love gardening and reading and piddling on the 'puter.

e-mail:nlsnowden@inandoutofmaddness.com
Interests: I love to watch a bulb turn into a beautiful flower or my yard go through the seasons. I have four dogs (two adopted Dobermans, one a Katrina dog) and a cat, so I am an animal lover. I love sharing my work and getting it critiqued.
Publications: articles and book reviews in New York City Voices 2007, a poem and some artwork in the Sugaranochee Review in 2003, A book review in Small Publishers Magazine in 2006, two book reviews in First Draft in 2007, a short story in an e-zine in 2006, and a short story in an anthology in 2008. I've written a novel being considered by a publishing house right now.
Favorite Books: The Hermit King by William Cobb, The Sunday Wife by Cassandra King, The Ransom of Red Chief by O'Henry, , Good in Bed by Jennifer Weiner, The Ocean was Deep by Loretta Cobb, All Over But the Shouting by Rick Bragg.
Favorite Movies: Been so long since I've been to a movie, I've forgotten!
Favorite TV Shows: Animal Cops and K-9 Cops
Favorite Quotes: I Meet Myself Coming Out the Door by Lee Thames
Loves: art, horses, dogs and cats, gardens and flowers, and reading just about anything nonfiction and mainstream or chick lit fiction. I also enjoy literary fiction.
Hates: hypocrits...especially Christian ones
