Thanks for the crit paul, your comments were most welcome...Carol x
Hi, thought I'd scratch on yer pad to let you know that I've written and posted up the continuation of the Reuben and Brian story.
Thanks, Paul. That's what it's all about, right?

Thanks for the critique of LWL Scene : Transformation! Maybe I've hooked you on Romance? ha ha.
Thank you for the Welcome!
Thanks for the critique Paul, nicely done. And yes, those are all important questions. As a child found biblical stories appalling and cruel. As this story expands, I'm hoping people *think* about what's wrong with many of these stories and make their choices based on humanist [regardless of religion] ethics. The best way, sometimes, to put point across is to explore that in story form.
Your welcome, Paul. No one had ever told me they'd take all my advice. Even if you don't, I'm gratefull for your trust in my critique.
CAS, COLOR OR CULTURE: Thank you for your crit. As for time frame of the story - " The world's top politician is black" (Obama) It seems most folks miss that - in fact no one has caught it yet! I found your crit the most helpful so far - appreciate your time and effort. It is baed on a true story - only a few weeks old. Thanks again.
Thanks for the befanningment!

About Paul

Occupation: I am an architect, and I also call myself a writer.
About Me: The creative arts inspired me since I played the role of a banana in a third grade play. I found out that livin' ain't livin' without art.

I hope you will help me to improve my writing, and I will try to do likewise. I have sadly lost the banana suit and am looking for it.
Interests: People and their lives interest me. Everyone is a story, and has stories to tell.
Websites: This one of course.
Publications: Some of my grown-up pursuits include: the Council for Creative and Performance Award from Cornell University, several local and annual awards from the American Institute of Architects, painting and architectural work hung at the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans, and a collaborative work with modern classical composer Jay Weigel performed at the New Orleans Museum.
I am working on getting my poetry and short stories published. My architectural work has been published here and there over the years.
Favorite Books: This is like asking to catalogue all the colors in the universe; it changes all the time. My favorite books at this present moment in time are: "Kindred" by Octavia Butler, "My Father's Tears" by John Updike, the Dune novels of Frank Herbert, short stories by Alice Munro, "Dreams From My Father" by Barack Obama, the Coyote novels of Allen Steele
Favorite Movies: Off the top of my head: Blade Runner by Ridley Scott, his other films, Juliet of the Spirits by Fellini, most Hitchcock movies, Disturbia
Favorite TV Shows: Currently, I like: "Glee" for its awesome music and wit, most of the science and history shows on cable, the old movie channels
Favorite Quotes: "Know thine own self." - Dead Greek Guy
"Judge lest ye be judged." -The Big Book
"Hold onto your seats; it's gonna be a bumpy ride." -Bette Davis in "Three Faces of Eve"
"Ddoooppe" -Homer Simpson
Loves: I love good homecooking, others and my own. Art in all its forms sustain me notably painting, architecture, fiction and poetry.
Hates: Closed and narrow mindedness peeve me. We should be less judgemental of each other. (This is where I break out the ukulele and sing Kum Ba Ya. ;) )
