How I Read

She adjusted the table lamp so that the bright light was near the page that was propped close to her face.  She hated to read in darkness for fear that it would ruin her eyesight.  While she read with a pen and a highlighter in hand, she would underline, circle, and highlight her book when she was passionate about words that held carbonated meaning for her life.  She liked when she agreed with the writer's views and would draw happy faces and stars next to passages that especially fascinated her.

 The Beauty of Chaos

The Chaos amazes me because I am filled with the emotion of great sudden wonder by way of confusing me with your conflicting situations, objects or statements. These complications is a marvel!  Look this marvel is attacking with amazement or seizes me suddenly and without warning.  It evokes me to do or say things unintended.  It overcomes me and arouses pleasure and approval.  This marvel was with authority, genius, great beauty, sublimity or might and had the power to inspire dread but also a mixed emotion of reverence and respect.  The marvel is an object of esteem and regard.

Discussion

The first work was nice. I could identify with it because it sounds just like me. I was wondering if you were just writing off the top of your head, or was there purpose for these two short paragraphs?

While she read with a pen and a highlighter in hand, she would underline, circle, and highlight her book when she was passionate about words that held carbonated meaning for her life.

I was really able to relate to this line, because I find myself doing this with my textbooks. Did you have a model in which you based your story on?

The second one was a little harder for me to grasp. It could be that it is hard for me to connect the feelings the subject has for Chaos.

It overcomes me and arouses pleasure and approval.

These are definitely not words I could see describing what Chaos can do. Whenever I think of Chaos, I think of a trashed room, a war-torn village, an area devestated by a natural disaster.

This marvel was with authority, genius, great beauty, sublimity or might and had the power to inspire dread but also a mixed emotion of reverence and respect.

Maybe in this context it could be understood more. Chaos does have a way of stripping down areas and bringing out the bareness and basis of things. It can bring about a pause to recollect or to stop and think.

I think the works within one work was a great way to release ideas and thoughts from the mind. Did they help you to look at them in a different light? They have done so for me. Good job.
