The easiest way to show that it's an e-mail is probably to add some "headers" into it. Take a look at the very top of an e-mail and look for stuff like:

Thank you so much for your critique. I'm glad that someone got that all those lower case I's were purposeful.
hey, stefan!!
congratulations on your win in the site contest!!
Hi, I'd actually like to apologize for that critique I posted the other night. I'm making a new rule for myself not to log onto scribophile under the influence. I looked through it and realized there was very little constructive about the criticism. I'm not sure how to delete these things, so I guess it'll have to stand, but I wanted you to understand I wasn't exactly in a delicate state of mind. I'd write a better one, but find that I have little to say and don't want to take up anymore undeserved karma points.
Thanks for your comments on Feal's Pride! I'll see if I can fix the plot problems.
That's probably my issue right there. I'm used to the British pronunciation of things half the time due to my strange childhood as a british/american confused teen. I still liked the poem, by the way! I just like to nitpick
Ahhh, I see! That does make it make more sense. (However, the way I say it with and forthwith don't rhyme anyway. the "th" in forthwith is the same soud both times, while "with" is more like "the"
hi, stefan--
thanks for your thoughtful comments! you caught a few things i felt were weak, and i agree, not really a horror story. i guess i was going for thoughtful...or thought-provoking. will probably be more effective once i clarify and edit. thanks so much!
Thanks Stefan! I had a really hard time writing this, and the ending is a bit abrupt and unexplained. Good point with "remaining"! I'll change that, definitely.
Thank you for such a detailed and thoughtful critique of "Hands." It was extremely helpful and is much appreciated.

About Me

Occupation: Student of Math and English
About Me: The Cat o' Nine Tales

I'm not alive, yet I'm not dead.
I exist but in your head.
I'm a wise man, I'm a fool,
I am jester to you all.
I want to help, I want to teach,
I want to guide, but do not preach.
I bring passion, I bring pain,
In the end it's all in vain,
For there is nothing I can do,
But tell a tale for you.
