Am in the process of giving it a good reread. I will post as soon as I am through all of it this second time.
Hi Strider,
I will go back and give more concrete examples of the disconnects. It might be a couple of days before I can get to it. I will print it out and take a good hard look at it. A second reading may show my reading shortfalls who knows - I just wanted you to know that I will address your questions on the scratch pad it just might take a couple of days.....
... I absolutely love his stuff), so I wouldn't worry too much about length.

I talk too much and has to use two posts
I wouldn't worry too terribly much about length. If the story says what you want to say and there's no other way you can think of to say it, then so be it.
That being said, I do think there's plenty of stuff that could be cut to reduce its length. Thematically speaking it works pretty well as a chapter, and splitting it into two wouldn't really resolve the length issue if you decide there is one. It'll still take up just as much room, it'll only be in two parts instead.
I'll try to take a look over the earlier parts and give you a more well-rounded critique when I have the time to get to it.
However, if it takes 4 chapters at 6k words a piece to even get to the story, you might want to consider changing some stuff around a bit or working on your pacing. The minimum length for a novel is 60k words, so at that point you'd be almost 1/3 of the way through a short novel!
But like I said, there are plenty of find novels that are really freaking long (Neal Stephenson is guilty of this and ...
Think you for your critique on Like All Good Dreams. I did fix the spelling problem, I think, I only found one. Let me know as soon as you put up a new chapter! or change anything on the ones you have!
