By the way, picked up a book by Alvin Schwartz, A Gathering of Selves. Hopefully, I'll have some time to read it. Couldn't resist the subtitle: The Spiritual Journey of the Legendary Writer of Superman and Batman (plus I bought it for 99 cents)
Drue,
When life gets back to normal for both of us, would like to see more of your writing. I'm hanging out at the Humanist Circle. You may want to give it a try. Say hi when you come back in.

Hey Drue,
We'll miss you in the circle and, hopefully, still be here when your schedule lightens up. Incidentally, if it's not too much trouble could you officially remove yourself from the circle by clicking the leave circle button on the circle forum page. It will keep me from bugging you about not writing/critiquing. Then when you come back just ask for a new invite. I hope you find lots of time to write soon.
Best of luck,
-Ben

i'm sorry to hear you're leaving the circle, drue--come back soon, yes? when work lets up.
heya...looking foward to your next post in the circle friday!
I haven't read much Mellick lately, but I'll dig through him later on and see if I can remember which I really liked. Electric Jesus Corpse is amusing, but a bad example because it has really elementary grammar errors (like your instead of you're or whatnot)
Have you ever read anything by Carlton Mellick III? Judging from your Patterns of Nothingness, I think you might enjoy him. He uses similar sorts of "nonstandard" grammar (although on his part I honestly think it's just laziness a lot of the time), and I absolutely adore his verbs.
hi, su--
lovely critique of my poem, thank you!
i love people reading something i've written and finding meaning inside of it, or really, just feeling affected at all. thank you for that.
now, go publish something!

I don't know if anyone's told you this yet, but your pen name is pretty freaking cool.
Drue,
Thanks for the critique. Those were beautiful words.
Are you using writing as creative recovery?
I started writing again when my group stopped calling on me during meetings...I guess I was going way out there...I'm glad they ostracized me because I would not have had the courage to reach deeper inside myself.
