In regards to your question, I think it is possible to be an author who doesn't read. Although it's probably a tough row to hoe. If your worried about being able to keep up with critiques in the FFF, don't stress. Obviously the best situation for critiques is Quid Pro Quo, but that doesn't mean we want to kick you out. Participate at the level you are most comfortable with.
