Summertime, and the livin’ is easy…

Summer’s here!  Inbetween sips of lemonade and long staring sessions off of the front porch we managed to find the time to compile the June Mystery Contest entries.  If you don’t see your entry here, it’s probably because you didn’t read the rules closely!

And here they are, without further ado:

Bondage, by Vincent Slade

A Quest Rewritten, Chapter 1 by Nikki Williams

The Crystal Father, Chapter 1: The Crystal Father by Howard Johnson

His Own Petard, Chapter 1: Heavy Lies The Head by Paul de Fleury

Unforgiven Sin, Chapter 1 by William Craig

My Beloved Assassin by Alex Moisi

Smoke and Twisted Mirrors, Chapter 1: Waking the Dead by Kirsten Ashenbrenner

Saturation Point, Chapter 1: The Pieces Fall Where They May by Laurie Paulsen

Prom Night by Arianna Roberts

Read on, Scribophiles, and make your votes known.  We take your ratings for each work into account when selecting the winners, so remember to let us know who you think should win!

Critiquer of the Month

The Critiquer of the Month for the month of June is none other than Laos D Feng!  Laos has spent a lot of time over the past few weeks cooking up some fantastic critiques for all of us.  Just take a look at his critique history–you’d be hard pressed to find one that isn’t both detailed and insightful.  If you’ve received one of Laos’ great critiques, now’s a great time to return the favor–and if you haven’t yet, we’re sure that leaving a critique on his work will get his attention fast.  Congratulations to Laos, and stop by and say Hi on his scratchpad!
