I have to admit that I am ashamed of myself. I don't think I have ever chosen to read a play for strictly entertainment purposes in my life.
Being an avid reader of all sorts of literature, I feel at a loss as to why I have not tapped into this rich source of reading pleasure.
You have truly inspired me to remedy this oversight . The play you described sounds fascinating .Even though it is from the sixties, it sounds very relevant in today's world. Thank you for the heads up.

Thanks for a great article! I actually am remembering that plays are fun to read, after all! I started thinking of one of the first plays I ever read, No Exit by Jean-Paul Sartre. I have since seen it in the theater and liked that as well. I took several play lit classes in college and really enjoyed them.
Thanks for the article and the trip down memory lane. I think I will go look for the box of books that contains my plays.
