I read this novel by Cormac McCarthy a couple of years ago. It sits on my bookshelf as one of the books I don't want to give a way.
His descriptions are strong, the writing tight. The plot is one I call "end of the world as we know it" scenarios. This is one of the best books I've ever read.
The underlying theme of his book is a man's love for his son at all costs and what one will do to survive the unspeakable.
