Writer's Circles
Find The Writer's Circles You're Looking For
New CirclesHere is how it works.
1) Post message that you want to exchange crits. 2) Scratch exchange letting the person know you are criting and want something critted. Only scratch people that have works up in the circle. All crits must be returned. 3) Post a mesage when you are done exchanging crits. No actual posts of stories. No word limits--Try to be fair. If someone asks you to read 500 words, offer an extra crit if they read 5000 of yours. No limitation on length, type, or subject matter. No refusing crits for crit. If someone crits you, crit them back or just don't post. The rules are simple, but fun and you ARE NOT required to participate each week.
-1 required critique of a novel/novella/short story piece in the circle.(Everyone gets a turn.) -3 critiques over any novel/novella/short story piece in the circle -Send a private message telling which pieces you critiqued. The person with the most ‘liked’ critiques receives the wish for that week! Peppermint wish-everyone gives a thumbs up to the winning critiques. This will enhance reputation Chocolate wish-8 karma points Pen wish-Having someone that is a scribe or above give a critique. Want to know more wishes? More details inside! CURRENT MEMBERS: Wish this week: Chocolate wish. *Required critique this week: Maria Steins Jesus and Black Olives, Chapter 1 This is a private circle for novelists who desire an online critique group.
This group cannot contain more than 5-7 members, invited by the other members. Novels may be of any genre, as approved by "active" members (ie, I will not allow horror because I can't read it.) The idea is to focus on the novel critique and ensure each chapter/scene/whatnot is critiqued by one who's spent some time with the story. If a member wants to leave, they can at anytime. But a new member must be "suggested" by an existing member -- along with the novel. The only activity requirement is that each member critique at least one posted work (of one novel) for each member, each week. If no new work is posted, no additional critique is needed. This would "require" a maximum of 5-7 critiques per week (one per member). Scenes/chapters should be no more than 2000-3000 words each. If you are a halfblood like me and love to write read draw etc. then come and join me!!!!

A circle for those who have a passion for writing. From poetry to prose, short stories to flash fiction. Anyone who might need help or for whom might want to help in any way, shape. or form. This place is strictly for writers to grow into what you want to become. It is not required, but it would be good for everyone if you would read and comment on each others works.
A private little nook for those working on a novel to meet and iron out the rough spots. Nothing fancy. Just the will to write and lend a supporting hand to others. If it sounds like your kind of place contact Cherokeeknight for an invitation.
Please active writers only.
Short works preferred. Must publish a work once per month Must crit all works posted. Strong focus on beginnings, middles and endings. Let's write! A science fiction group for people who aren't into spandex
