To those who gave their two cents on "Sad woman's Blues" I just wanna thank you and I'm going through my head and storage boxes of old poems and songs to publish for you guys and I again thank you for your time to read my work and give whatever stars you had in mind. Peace.

thanks for the invitation!  i've never been in a circle before (im still really new to scribophile).

That sounds cool Phedre. I've been thinking about going to some writing retreats for some time now. I think it's a wonderful idea. My understanding is that you don't have to have a finished manuscript,  only part of it, which is why the retreat is there. To give you a better perspective on your idea as a novel, if its good enough to be considered, or if you should just start from scratch.

I go to local poetry readings and work shops. Their a good way to meet and greet and share my recent poetry.

Lately, I've been taking some classes on grammar and word expansion. I figure if poetry is my passion, I should know what I'm doing, right?

Well, good luck. I hope you write a masterpiece.

I am totally stoked!!!!  I've started looking online for some writers' conferences to go to - since I do want to get my novel published, and it's all about who you know... and I found some that's happening soon, and I'm getting excited!

There's one called the Seven Hills Writers' Retreat happening this April  in Tallahassee, FL and it's like a dream come true for me lol.  Of course, my novel is far from finished and won't be ship-shape by the time April rolls around, but I'll defintely go next year.  At this particular conference (this is why I'm drooling) there is one on one discussions with an agent, and a manuscript review. Of course, there is a bit of an extra charge for those, but hey! These are incredibly good opportunites!

*goes back to drooling & daydreaming about next year*

*Magicks up Allie some tea*   Cookies? Brownies? Chocolate? Cake, anyone?

Tea is so much better...

COFFEE!!! *magicks up everyone their favorite cups of liquid caffeine" Yummm... Now to get back to my writin'....

Hey Bob.

I thought the same thing when I saw that picture too. It oozes passion. I thought it was perfect for this circle.

That's a pretty cool picture
