The big issue here is Leonardo's dialogue. Any suggestions are appreciated. The Italian man I know speaks in broken yet proper English. I thought this would be a breeze to write, but I guess it doesn't translate on to paper. I worked a little more on this. Just a couple of points - firstly, thanks to everyone who has commented so far.

There seems to be a lot of indecision about the narrative voice. Some people like it and some people want me to change it. I haven't made up my mind yet what to do about the voice, so I'm going to keep going in my normal vein for now.
