I like snow, but this is getting to be too much. We had at least 26 inches. I spent two hours digging yesterday and today but my car is iced to the hillside. My arms hurt. I've also spent two days snarfing poptarts and other high-calorie foods like I was starving. Ugh.

Anyone else digging out from the blizzard?

We're slated for one to two ADDITIONAL feet by the end of the week. And this after last week's deluge that left my neighbor hospitalized (he slipped on the ice).

Personally, I could lead a full and happy life never seeing another flake; however, I tip my hat to those for whom snow is a blessing (e.g., skiers, snow plow operators?, grateful school children who get the day off).

Curiously, I just wrote a tiny piece of micro-fiction that touches on this issue.

Come on, Spring, where are you hiding?

STS, same here on all counts (except for the hospitalized neighbor; yikes!), and I echo every word of your sentiments.

California, here I come...

Also sick of snow...the drifts on the side of my house are huge.  I appreciate the forced working out, but I could deal without it.

Liz, there's something different about you.

Well, if I could snowboard or play in the snow it would be great. But having to dig it is getting old pretty fast. You know what's weird? We've had people with shovels coming around trying to get some work, but people driving by in their pick-up trucks with snowblowers ostentatiously perched in the truck bed don't even want to earn a buck. I mean, if you own a snowblower, you could make some serious money in this weather!

 Jane,

California, here I come...

Be sure to pick your place in CA-- I live in the mountains in So. Cal, and we,ve had over three ft. to date, and there's more storms on the horizon.  Big Bear, a little further up the mountain,  had 5 ft. plus a ft or so , plus more on the way.

It's Carmel-by-the-sea, La Jolla, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Malibu or Monterey for me, Curm... thanks!

I'm perfectly alright with snow, until it forces me to stay home instead of working... then its annoying.
