What's The Big Picture Here?
Think of Scribophile as a writer's workshop, but instead of being in a room with 20 or so other writers, you're on the internet with millions of other writers, each of them eager to read your work and offer helpful critiques. We pride ourselves on our friendly and helpful community. You can meet other writers with similar interests and interact with thousands of other like-minded authors from around the world.
Publishing Your Works
The heart of the Scribophile community is built on the works our authors publish. These works run the range from first drafts and plot sketches to poems of all lengths to fully fledged novels in their final revisions. When you publish a work on Scribophile, the community comes together to read and critique it. Your work gets the valuable insight of a bright and skillful group of writers, and your works (and you!) improve and grow. You also keep all the rights to your works.
How Do I Know That My Works Will Get Read?
Scribophile has a karma system that ensures that everyone gets critiques for their works. Before anyone can publish a work, they need to have a certain amount of karma points. Writers get karma points by writing critiques and comments on the works of others. This cycle ensures that everyone gets critiques eventually.
Scribophile also has a special section on the homepage called the Review Queue. This is a list of upcoming works that havn't been critiqued yet. Your work will eventually appear on the Review Queue for everyone who visits the homepage to see, making sure that others leave their feedback for you.
