Getting Around Scribophile
Getting around Scribophile is pretty easy. Here’s a breakdown of the tabs you see at the top of the site.
(If you’re on a mobile device like a phone or a tablet, the tabs will be in the “Nav” menu at the upper-left of the site.)

The Home tab leads you to your personal Scribophile homepage, where you can see what’s new on the site, plus the activity feed. You can also see what’s new in the discussion forums, your reading reminders, and more.
The Writing tab is where you go when you want to find some writing to read. Here you’ll find the Spotlights, plus tools to search for other work you might want to read.
The Authors tab lets you browse through some handy lists of top members and lets you search for specific members.
The Groups tab is where you’ll find groups of like-minded writers to chat and make friends with.
The Forums tab will lead you to our Forums index, which shows the newest threads in all of our forums. You can click on a specific forum to open it up and see the full list of threads for that forum
The Contests tab is where we list all of our free, cash-prize writing contests. Check back often for a chance to win!
The Academy tab goes to our Writing Academy, a place filled with curated, helpful writing resources and articles.
The New Messages alert indicates how many unread private messages you have. Click on it to go to your inbox to read them. If you don’t have any unread messages, this alert will be conveniently hidden.
The Profile button, which has your profile picture on it, sends you directly to your personal profile page.
The Account menu button open up your Account menu. Your Account menu lists all of the commands that make Scribophile work for you. From there you can post some new writing, check your messages, see what’s up in groups you’ve joined, edit your profile or account settings, and more.
