Group-Sponsored The Moment It Hit You Contest
|Deadline:||Jun 17, 2018|
The moment you first knew what it was like to fall in love, or the moment you realised that you don’t have to fall in love to live happily after, or the moment you understood you liked girls, or boys, or both, or…
The moment you decided that you wanted to wear skirts and dresses and make-up. Or the moment you threw all of them away. Or…
The moment you knew that you were more than a stereotype.
The moment you got your first glimpse of who you really are.
The Gay Writers & Friends (GW&F) group is looking for stories of any genre about reflection and self-discovery, exploring a pivotal moment in which a character learns something about themselves and how this discovery changes them.
Share your tales of caterpillars unfurling their kaleidoscopic butterfly wings.
LGBT+ content is welcomed and encouraged, but not required. Any genre permitted.
Entries will be judged on their interpretation of the prompt, emotional depth, and writing quality. We’re looking for stories which will linger long after the last word.
Two honorable mentions will receive 2 karma points each.
