Your pen name is how you’ll be known around Scribophile. We suggest using your real name or the name you plan to publish under, but you can make a different one up if you want. Pick wisely, because you can’t change it once you’ve signed up.
Your pen name must sound like a complete real name and must be capitalized correctly. If you like, you can use initials for your first name(s).
We review pen names daily and if yours doesn’t meet these requirements, your account will be immediately closed.
Examples of unacceptable pen names include: The Writing Guy. Oliver Twist. SARA SMITH. Mistress Dragonbane. Perennial Publishing. Wild Flower. Phil Paragraph. Crystal Starstrider.
Need inspiration? Try: Ruth Miller, Henry Spencer, Evelyn Washington, James Simmons, Ruth Davis, Edward Simmons, Sharon Manning, Joseph Foster, Alexandra Horne, or Richard Walker.
