One-time Zoom webinar

Perfect for
Beginning to intermediate fiction writers

Point of view, or the lens through which you tell your story, is more than just a simple decision between first, second, or third person. It affects the voice, clarity, and emotional impact of your story. This workshop will examine the pros and cons of each point of view and discuss how authors can use this literary device both creatively and effectively to enhance their stories.

Using examples from across genres, we’ll explore how authors employ point of view effectively—and not so effectively. We’ll discuss how to avoid “head hopping” and the effect of narrative distance on a scene. At the end, you’ll not only have a deeper understanding of this fundamental aspect of fiction, but you’ll also have the confidence to explore, experiment, and identify the best point of view choices for your writing.
