Storytelling is a universal medium. Unlike other crafts and skill sets, it’s not something that exists outside of us; it’s born from pure instinct. That’s why so many stories follow similar archetypal patterns that convey something primal and true about the human experience.

In this workshop, you’ll learn about the seven universal story archetypes and how you can apply them to your own writing. These story archetypes can help you unblock a stagnant story, expand a simple premise into a working plot, and craft stories that resonate deeply with readers. You’ll also receive writing prompts that help you explore story archetypes in fresh new ways.
