5th Annual Happy Father’s Day Horror Contest

Details

Deadline:June 9 (25 days left)
Fee:Free

The First Three Sentences group invites you to show us your horror stories for Father’s Day 2025. The story doesn’t have to be about the holiday Father’s Day, it can just be a scary story a dad might enjoy reading on his day off. Stories must be no longer than 1,000 words. If your story is a drabble, it should be exactly 100 words not including the title, and please indicate that you intended for it to be a drabble. Use the photo you see in the upper left-hand corner as an inspirational prompt but we won’t be looking for all of the elements in the photo. It’s just to spark your imagination and creativity. Winners will be announced on June 15, 2025 (Father’s Day).

Prize money for this contest is provided by the Scribophile Writing Contest Prize Fund.
