The Extreme Makeover Contest

Details

Deadline:May 31, 2011
Fee:Free

Have you ever read a story and thought, "Man, I could do that so much better"? Well, here's your chance.

Retell a story of your choice in 3,000 words or less. You can pick any author or genre you want, and we encourage you to twist and turn it to your heart's desire. Make steampunk out of Shakespeare, give Brothers Grimm a modern treatment, or turn a Stephen King horror tale into a children's story—it's up to you.

The writer of the most imaginative and well-told makeover will be awarded with $100 cash via Paypal (if you don’t have or don’t want a Paypal account, we can’t send you the prize). Half of this contest's prize was donated by Scribophile member Brynn—drop by her profile to leave her a nice note.

Entries are due by May 31st. Good luck!
