Group-Sponsored Funny Bones Contest
Details
Deadline: | Oct 16, 2021 |
Fee: | Free |
They say Horror and Humour make strange bedfellows… we say that’s quite rude and none of their business.
Besides, how does one recognize darkness without understanding light? Indeed, we think there’s nothing better to tantalize our candy-corn encrusted taste-buds like a tale that makes us laugh one minute… and scares us stupid the next!
This Halloween, the Humour & Humor Group and BATS would like you to tell us a story that is able to do just that! Dust off those big ol’ cauldrons and heap in generous helpings of both horror and humour. Then show us the delectable creation you’ve cooked up!
Now, it takes a measured touch to find that perfect balance of hilarity and spookiness that really hits the spot. Whether you’re finding dark humour in dire circumstances, or simply telling the story of a murderous ghost with a razor-sharp… wit, it’s your job to find a way to make these unlikely emotions work together.
So, do you have what it takes to tickle our funny bones while sending a chill down our spine? Show us what you’ve got.
Prize money for this contest is provided by the Scribophile Writing Contest Prize Fund.
