Mystery enshrines every facet of our lives from birth to death. So we want to support those who explore the enigmas of life in search of a story. We want your cozies, thrillers, psychological, sci-fi and etc. Any and every genre is welcome as long as mystery is the central facet. The only catch is that your entry must be the first chapter of a longer work. It can not be the 2nd, third or etc.

Rules

  • To enter the contest, post your work on Scribophile and check the box that says "Enter this work into the Group-Sponsored Supporting Mystery Contest". Your work will automatically be considered.

  • The checkbox will be visible until the contest deadline, which is in UTC time.

  • Entry is free, but you'll need karma points to post your work. You can earn karma points by writing critiques of work by other members.

Submission guidelines

  • Entries must be received before midnight June 16 (UTC) and the winners will be announced on or before July 16 (UTC).

  • Entries must be no more than 3000 words per Scribophile's count.

  • Multiple entries are not allowed.

  • Entry must be the first chapter of a mystery novel.

  • Work must have Public visibility on Scribophile until a winner is announced.
