Write a twisted love story at or under 1,500 words. To be considered it must be based on a wholly unhealthy relationship. Explicit sex or violence should be avoided. Entrants should try their best to have their story rely on the psychological aspects of such relationships. Stories may end happily or sadly. For inspiration look up the Ken and Barbie Killers, Fifty shades of Gray, Twilight, Streetcar Named Desire, and/or Othello.

Rules

  • Entries must be received before midnight March 16 (UTC) and the winners will be announced on or before March 28 (UTC).

  • Entries must be no more than 1,500 words per Scribophile's count.

  • Multiple entries are not allowed.

  • Work must have Public visibility on Scribophile until a winner is announced.

Submission guidelines

  • To enter the contest, post your work on Scribophile and check the box that says "Enter this work into the Member-Sponsored Wishlist Quarter 3 Contest." Your work will automatically be considered.

  • The checkbox will be visible until the contest deadline, which is in UTC time.

  • Entry is free, but you'll need karma points to post your work. You can earn karma points by writing critiques of work by other members.
