Member-Created Contest: Epiphany
|Deadline:||May 31, 2012|
This month we have a member-created contest with a generous prize for non-members:
The contest is being run by Quantrill, who has set up a group for communication and questions: Epiphany Contest Group.
Your assignment? Write a story where an epiphany occurs. As long as your story has an epiphany it can be about anything, and in any genre you desire.
The winning entry written by a free member will win a year's premium membership. The winning entry written by a premium member will win 10 karma.
As the contest has separate prizes for premium and free members, please put the word FREE or PREMIUM, depending on your current Scribophile membership level, in the body of the work before the story begins. This word will not be counted as part of your wordcount.
Winners have been announced! Log in to see them.
|1st prize:||(Free Members) A Year's Premium Membership, (Premium Members) 10 Karma|
Your entry must be a piece of fiction totaling 3500 words or fewer which contains an epiphany.
Entries must be received before midnight on May 31, 2012 (UTC time)
Entries must contain the word "PREMIUM" or "FREE", depending on the status of the scribophile member, as a separate paragraph before the story begins.
Only one entry is allowed per member. Multiple entries will all be disqualified.
Work must have public visibility on Scribophile until winners are announced.
To enter the contest, post your work on Scribophile and check the box that says "Enter this work into the Member-Created Contest: Epiphany contest". Your work will automatically be considered. The checkbox will be visible until the contest deadline, which is in UTC time.
Entry is free, but you'll need karma points to post your work. You can earn karma points by writing critiques of work by other members.
