This contest organized and sponsored by Scribophile member Adeline Gale

Write a pirate story. Anything from a Pirates of the Caribbean tale to one with magic, or even privateers legally attacking other ships that fly an opposing flag. As long as your story has pirates it can be anything, any genre, you desire, be it pirate romance, or a shipwrecked crew stranded (or maybe marooned) on a desolate tropical island.

Rules

  • Your entry must be a piece of fiction totaling 4000 words or fewer which deals with pirates.

  • Entries must be received before midnight on April 30, 2012 (UTC time)

  • Only one entry is allowed per member. Multiple entries will all be disqualified.

  • Work must have public visibility on Scribophile until winners are announced.
