Member Mini-Contest: View from Above
|Jul 25, 2012
Tess Pfeifle and her group Imprints of the Mind want to look down at the world from above and see something truly spectacular. Helicopters, clouds, the backs of dragons, whatever you can think of for your main character to see from the sky. Are they looking at a parade? A military strike? Anything that leaves a definite impression. There are a couple of rules though:
- Entries must be fewer than 1500 words.
- You have to critique two other entries in the contest to be eligible.
These mini-contests happen fast, but the prizes are glorious. Tess is offering up 7.5 karma to the 1st place winner, 5 karma for 2nd place, and 3.5 karma for 3rd place. With karma like that on the line, it's hard to ignore. To the clouds with you!
Winners have been announced! Log in to see them.
Entries must be received by midnight, July 25th (UTC time).
Entries must be fewer than 1500 words.
You have to critique two other entries in the contest to be eligible.
One entry per person. Multiple entries will be disqualified
Your entry must state that you've entered the contest in your piece's description.
You don't have to be a member of the group, but it's strongly encouraged.
To enter the contest, post your work on Scribophile and check the box that says "Enter this work into the Member Mini-Contest". Your work will automatically be considered. The checkbox will be visible until the contest deadline, which is in UTC time.
Entry is free, but you'll need karma points to post your work. You can earn karma points by writing critiques of work by other members.
