Member-Sponsored Boy Meets Girl, Girl Meets Boy Contest

Details

Deadline:Jan 31, 2014
Fee:Free

A new disease, post-pubertal sex change disorder, affects about one in 10,000 teens, from the ages of 14 to 19. For boys, female secondary sex characteristics develop first, turning them into beautiful she-boys. For girls, the genitals change first. So sufferers in the middle stages resemble each other. It takes about one year for total sex change to occur.

Stories for this contest must take place in this world, preferably featuring one or more main characters who have the disease. Romance, erotica (if characters over 18), comedy, school drama, even hard sci-fi that seeks to explain the disease in clinical terms--any genre is welcome. Will you try to find a cure? Will you deconstruct gender from a feminist perspective? All approaches are welcome.
