Member-Sponsored Explain Yourself Contest

Member-Sponsored Explain Yourself Contest

Details

Deadline:Dec 17, 2014
Fee:Free

This contest is co-sponsored by Compressed, a group focused on short forms of fiction, and Please Try This At Home, an experimental fiction group.

Readers spend a lot of time dissecting fiction, looking for meaning, trying to understand what the author was trying to say. We want you, the author, to "Explain Yourself". Write us a story or poem, and inline [in editing brackets], please explain why you have made the choices you have. The explanation could revolve around word choices, character development, overall theme, etc. Show us your thought process. If there's anything you don't want readers speculating on, this is your chance to clear that up!
