Member-Sponsored Let’s Get Twisted Contest

Details

Deadline:Jun 1, 2018
Fee:Free

Bet you didn’t see this contest coming! In the "Let’s Get Twisted Contest", we invite you to take us on a winding tale that surprises and delights us with its myriad twists and turns. Or perhaps you’ll shock us with a single unexpected twist, an ending we’ll be talking about for months to come?

Of course, writing a good twist isn’t easy—it’s a delicate balance of directing your reader in one direction then crafting something believable yet unpredictable while they’re distracted. The best twists are those that seem so obvious after they’re revealed, but arrive completely unexpected. Go with a big reveal that punches you in the face, or let it creep up slowly. Surprise us!

We’re excited to read bombshell entries from all genres, with characters and voices from all walks of life! We only ask that your story contains at least one twist of some kind. Spooky, romantic, hilarious... we want it all!

Everyone loves a good plot twist!
