Member-Sponsored What’s My Story? Contest

Details

Deadline:May 17, 2017
Fee:Free

I love photo prompts and I thought it would be fun to do a Scrib contest where the stories are inspired by photos.

To enter the contest, choose a person in one of the following photos and tell me a complete story with them as the main character. It can be any genre—horror, mystery, romance, fantasy, anything goes as long as it’s a complete story in 3,000 words or less. The main thing here is to be creative with it. Study the photo, get into the character’s head, and tell me their story.

Important: Make sure to note in your story description which photo you chose.

Judging will be based on the following:

  1. Creativity.

  2. Story Arc: Needs to be a complete story.

  3. Spelling and Grammar: A typo or two can be overlooked, but seriously, take the time to polish your story before the deadline.

Prize money for this contest is provided by the Scribophile Writing Contest Prize Fund.
