This contest is sponsored by the Wishlist group. We seek to help those writers who have fallen on hard times or who just need a little help. Because all people should have a chance at enjoying the full fruits of Scribophile.

Only members who currently don't have a Scribophile Premium membership can enter. To enter, submit a flash or short story of no more than 1,000 words on the following prompt:

A man wakes up in a room filled with wolf portraits. He can't remember how he got here, or who he is. Written in blood is the word, 'Run.'

Rules

  • Entries must be received before midnight Saturday, 13 December (UTC) and the winners will be announced on or before January 15.

  • Only non-premium members permitted.

  • Entries must be no more than 1,000 words per Scribophile's count.

  • Multiple entries are allowed.

  • Work must have Public visibility on Scribophile until a winner is announced.

Submission guidelines

  • To enter the contest, post your work on Scribophile and check the box that says "Enter this work into the Member-Sponsored Wishlist Quarter 1 Contest." Your work will automatically be considered.

  • The checkbox will be visible until the contest deadline, which is in UTC time.

  • Entry is free, but you'll need karma points to post your work. You can earn karma points by writing critiques of work by other members.
